Product update - October 2014

Hey everyone, hope you've had a productive October. It's been an exciting month in the Geckosphere, as per my incredibly erratic fortnightly product recaps, let me introduce you to a couple of exciting improvements to the TradeGecko platform.

1. Capturing full and partial payments

Over the next few days, we're rolling out our brand new Invoice Payments functionality.
A lucky few of you will already see it in your account, but if you don't have it yet, you'll be seeing it sometime in the next couple of weeks.

What this means is you can now track the details of payments against your Sales Orders, and also manage split payments/deposits etc..

Alongside the more advanced payments functionality, we're now going to be pushing these payments to Xero as well.

2. Sales Channels improvements

We've recently pushed some changes to how you manage your variants on multiple sales channels.

You can now bulk publish and unpublish your variants per specific sales channels from the product page.

We've also added a Sales Channels tab to each variant for more granular control.

3. Cost Price Permissions

For our higher plans, we've started working on advanced user permission functionality.
First up, you can now control which of your team members can view the Cost/Buy Prices of your products inside TradeGecko.

You can restrict access by going into the Settings > Team Members tabs, and selecting the team member.
From there, you can toggle Buy Prices to No Access.

4. Timezone Tweaks

We've tweaked how we show dates and times in TradeGecko to always show in the timezone that you've set up on your settings page. Previously, we showed the time in whichever location you were currently in.

For most users absolutely nothing will change, however for all of you jet-setters and those with global teams, you will now no longer see any time discrepancies from your team depending on where in the world you are at that moment.

If you think you might be on the wrong timezone, you can change it at any time from the Settings/Account Details page.
